The Atelier
The process behind every piece.
From first consultation to final delivery - here's what to expect when you commission a garment with The Surg Couture.

The Process
Five steps from idea to garment.
Consultation
We start with a conversation - on WhatsApp or in the atelier by appointment. Bring reference images, an occasion, or simply an idea. We map out silhouette, styling and budget together.
Fabric selection
Choose from Italian Super 120s wools, French silks, English worsteds and premium African weaves. We guide you on weight, drape and season so the cloth suits both the garment and the moment.
Browse our fabrics →Measurements & pattern
Over 20 measurements are taken and a personal pattern is drafted. Every commission is cut individually - nothing is pulled from a template.
Fittings
One to two fittings ensure the garment sits exactly as it should - shoulder, waist, break and drape are refined by hand until the line is right.
Final delivery
Your piece is pressed, quality-checked and delivered in a Surg Couture garment bag - ready for the moment it was made for.
